Samsung Galaxy Jean Launched: The Re-branded Galaxy A6+
South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy jean mobile handset in its home country in July 2018.
But, this handset is the rebranded version of Samsung A6+ which has already been unveiled in May this year in India.
The smartphone name Jean appears to be very catchy for the South Korean market, having a model number — SM-A605KZVIKTC.
The model number is similar to that of A6 plus in India, which is SM-A605GZKH. The official website of Samsung also mentions the Galaxy Jean as A6+ in brackets.
The South Korean giant has already launched the same phone as Galaxy A9 Star Lite in China, which is believed to be launched in India in August this year at an expected price of Rs 21,990.
This is the typical form of the strategy employed by South Korean manufacturers to have distinct names for different markets for the same product.
As people are already used to the rebranding form of business trick in the automobile sector, smartphone makers are now using the same tactic because it works.
The Galaxy Jean will be available in South Korea only in the 3GB+32GB variant. The company offers a 4GB+64GB variant in India which has not been launched in its home country yet.
Though both the types above are different in terms of RAM and internal storage, just like the Galaxy A6 Plus, it has a 6-inch display that is Full HD+ AMOLED and runs on 8.0 Android Oreo.

Dimensions of the Galaxy A6+ are 160.2×75.7×7.9mm and it weighs 191 grams.
Talking about the camera, the Samsung Galaxy jean has 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 24-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
