Millions of people from one corner of the world to another showcase yoga postures. It shows that they have adopted Yoga to their day-to-day activities to keep themselves mentally physically fit. What is Yoga?

The term “Yoga” has been taken from the Sanskrit word “Yoke” which means union. Yoga is performed to find the balance and union between the mind and body. India is the land of the origination of Yoga. Yoga is an ancient science and consists of various disciplines of body and mind. 

It is said that Yoga was originated in India 2500 years ago. Though it is a thousand-year-old science, it is still in practice for overall health and well-being. Yoga term is also based on a Sanskrit word “Yuja” which means to connect or culminate or concur. It’s the culmination of body and mind that is the culmination of soul and universal spirit. This is also the culmination of Purush( Yin) and Prakriti (Yang).
